Our latest parish magazine is now available on our ‘Publications’ page. As usual it’s compulsory reading!
At the end of Sunday’s sung mass, parishioners moved to the outside flagpole area to commemorate the end of WW1, one hundred years ago.
There was great excitement at the commissioning of our new vicar this week. A large number of locals and guests gathered to warmly welcome Michael and wife Carol to the parish and we eagerly embrace this next phase of our parish life.
The younger folk in our congregation use their time well:
On Sunday we celebrated a number of birthdays but a particularly special one was that of Sally Fuller seen in the photo with her cake for the occasion. The young folk were out in force too, pictured here being attentive to Fr Tony’s chat with them. During the service they produced some handmade greetings for Sally.
The recent Patronal Festival was a joyful occasion with special guest Bishop Tim Harris leading the service. Afterwards we shared a delicious barbecue lunch.
The early birds managed to experience the sun rise over the first service of the day in our lovely garden.
The children became involved in the later Easter Day Service. First the story, then preparations for the musical procession . . . and finally the search for the eggs outside. No egg was safe.
It was with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to our much loved Vicar, The Rev’d Sonya Paterson, and her husband Rob this morning. We expressed our thanks and our very best wishes for their future.
